Today during our team standup, we did a group activity. One of us posted a question. Everyone wrote down the first thing that came to mind. Then we took turn to elaborate on our answers in more details.
The question: What is the most important thing to you when it comes to a workplace or a job?
My short answer: the people who I work with.
Given that the nature of the job is interesting to me, the people who I work with can make the experience very different. I try to surround myself with good people. People who I can learn from, and who are eager to learn from me. People who are willing to help, welcome questions and reach out for help when they are stuck. People with whom I can have heated discussions and while we might disagree with each other, we do not take it personally.
